you can write this as an equation.  The number of original routes is x.  If you take the number of original routes and subtract 1/6 times the number of original routes that equals 110.

x-(1/6x)=110

solve this for x.

x minus 1/6x is 5/6x

5/6x=110

divide both sides by 5/6

x=132
