is 5,-2 a solution of 3x+5y=5
i need the answer

It's simply a matter of substituting the values into the equation
to find out if the equation is true. By convention, the pair (5, -2) is
taken to be an x, y pair, so x is 5, and y is -2.

3x + 5y = 5
3(5) + 5(-2) = 5
15 - 10 = 5
5 = 5

The equation holds, so, yes, 5, -2 is a solution to the equation.
