2x+y=4 . . . y=-2x+4

first of all, arrange y as the only term in one side. in ur problem, 2x + y = 4, 2x + y = 4 or, y = -2x + 4 or, y = (-2)x + 4 Comparing the above equation with slope intercept form y = mx +c, we get slope (m) = -2 y - intercept (c) = 4
