2^(1-x) -8=24 . . . 2^(1-x)=32 . . . 2^5=32, so (1-x)=5 . . . x=1-5 . . . x=-4

"Solution: Given f(x)= 2^(-x+1)-8
f(x)=24
2^(-x+1)-8=24
there for x=2i(πn+2i log(2))/log(2)
integral solution x=-4"

"Solution: Given F(x)=2^(-x+1)-8
F(x)=24
24=2^(-x+1)-8
32=2^-x *2^1
2^-x=16
take log on both side
-x log 2= log 16
x=-4"
