Please help with this problem.  3x squared + 7x + 1 = 0

3x^2 + 7x + 1 = 0

Use the quadratic formula.

x = --------------------------
            2(3)

      -7 ± √(49 - 12)
x = -------------------
            6

      -7 ± √(37)
x = --------------
            6

      -7 ± 6.0828
x = ---------------
            6

      -7 + 6.0828                  -7 - 6.0828
x = ---------------    and x = ---------------
