5x +3 < 9x+3x < 6... 5x+3 < 12x < 6... 5x < 12x -3... -7x < -3... 7x > 3... x > 3/7... ########## 12x < 6 become 2x < 1 or x < 0.5... so 3/7 < x < 0.5... or 0.428571428 < x < 0.5
