lets use an example like 72. the factor tree of 72 is to find two numbers that multiply together to equal 72 like 9 times 8 then you haveto find tewo numbers that multiply to 9 and two that multiply two eight and you keep doing that until there are no numbers that can be multiplied to get the certain number except a number times 1
