The other angle = x

1/2 of the other angle = x/2

3 times 1/2 of the other angle = 3x/2

20 degrees less than 3 times 1/2 of the other angle = 3x/2 - 20

Completementary angles add up to 90.

x + 3x/2 - 20 = 90

5x/2 - 20 = 90

5x/2 = 110

5x = 220

x = 44

Answer:  The angle is 44 degrees.
