The ladder, wall (assumed to be vertical) and horizontal ground form a right-angled triangle with hypotenuse 10m and angle of elevation 70 degrees. The height h up the wall is given by h=10sin70=9.397m, or 9.4 correct to a tenth of a metre. (The foot of the ladder is about 3.42m from the wall.)
Not sure what you mean in the second part of the question, but if you're using the ladder as a measure by putting the foot of the ladder on the wall, the point on the wall where the leaning ladder would rest is 10-h=10-9.397=0.603m or about 60cm from its other end.
