how do i put 4/10 10/15 3/5 14/30 16/20 in correct order smallest to largest

first get them all into a common denominator (bottom). They all are multiples of 5.

get them into 30th

4/10 * 3/3 = 12/30

10/15 * 2/2 = 20/30

3/5 * 6/6 = 18/30

14/30 leave alone

16/20 reduce first 8/10 * 3/3 = 24/30

list smallest to largest:

12/30, 14/30, 18/30, 20/30, 24/30

4/10, 14/30, 3/5, 10/15, 16/20

=> 4/10, 10/15, 3/5, 14/30, 16/20

To put them in increasing order, you first need to compare them and fractions can be compared  only when their denominators are same. LCM of denominators is 60.

=> 4*6/10*6, 10*4/15*4, 3*12/5*12, 14*2/30*2, 16*3/20*3

=> 24/60, 40/60, 36/60, 28/60, 48/60

Now compare their numerators and arrange according to their size

=> 24/60, 28/60, 36/60, 40/60, 48/60

=> 4/10, 14/30, 3/5, 10/15, 16/20
