3x=22-7=15

x=15/3

x=5

The product of my number and 3 is 3x;
Added to this is 7, which equals to 22, can be written as under:

3x+7 = 22
3x+7-7 = 22-7
3x = 15
3x/3 = 15/3
x = 5
