There is no solution to this problem.

Lets see the explanation.

Explanation:

The given sequence is in A.P with initial term, a=2 and common difference, d=4.

So the numbers are 2+4n1, 2+ 4n2, 2+4n3, and so on.

Now we need to add any 5 nos. in order to get total as 100.

Lets say these nos are 2+4n1, 2+4n2, 2+4n3, 2+4n4, 2+4n5.( Or for that matter u can take randomly as n7, n3, etc)

Now lets add these nos. and as we now sum should be 100,

Therefore, we have

(2+4n1) + (2+4n2) +  (2+4n3) +  (2+4n4) + (2+4n5) = 100

4( n1 + n2 + n3 + n4 + n5 ) + 10 = 100

4( n1 + n2 + n3 + n4 + n5 ) = 90

n1 + n2 + n3 + n4 + n5 = 90/4

Since 90 is not completely divisible by 4, we can conclude that there is no solution to the above problem.

Hence the proof.

2+6+10+14+18+22+26+30+34+38                 from this which five digits can make a total of 100 only through addition

200-38-34-30+2=100

(6+10)*2+30+38 = 16*2+68 = 32+68 = 100
(26+30)/2+34+38 = 56/2+72 = 28+72 = 100

THIS ANSWER IS NOT POSSIBLE NO MATTER HOW EVER YOU TAKE AND ADD THE NUMBERS YOUR ANS WILL BE IN EITHER 4 NO'S OR 6 NO'S ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO GET A 100 USING 5 NO'S. ACTUALLY THE FIRST FOUR NUMBERS ARE A TETRAMETHYLHEXADECANE A CHEMISTRY STRUCTURAL FORMULA

The series is in arithmetic progression where the universal formula for AP can be applied as S = n/2 {2a + (n – 1) d}, the symbols being ‘S’ = sum; ‘a’ = first term; ‘d’ = common difference; ‘n’ = no. of terms Here, ‘a’ = 2 ‘d’ = 4 ‘n’ = 10 Thus with the formula for AP, ‘S’ = 200 Now, the condition depicted in the question is that ‘S’ would be 100 when ‘n’ = 5 and ‘d’ = 4. ‘a’ is to be determined. Ok, we are required to put the values in the formula S = n/2 {2a + (n – 1) d}. 100 = 5/2[{2a + {(5 – 1) * 4}] → 100 = 5/2{ 2a + (4 * 4)} → 100 = 5/2(2a +16) → 100 = 5/2 *2 (a + 8) = 5(a + 8) → 20 = a + 8 → a = 20 – 8 = 12 To fulfill the condition first term is required to be 12 and other four terms would be 16; 20; 24; 28. None of this series is within the given series starting with 2. Evident that nos. available with the given series (any five), sum cannot be 100.

200 - 38 - 34 - 30 + 2 = 100 Question is completely saying total which means addition as well as distraction

200 - 38 - 34 - 30 + 2 = 100 Question is saying total N total means addition as well as substraction. So here is d answer

5 number use karke 100 ban sakta hey, 5 number ka total karne pe nahi banta...............
by
30+34+38+6+14-22=100

adding 5 no's they said not substract so i added 5 no's out of 10 no's and i substract 1 no. in the given 10 no's

so i think this is only the way you will get 100

Add the #'s together and you get 100. Is it really that hard? I've heard Pre-Calculus is hard. My older brother is taking Pre-Cal and he says it hurts so bad! LOL! My brother is in college now and his Pre-Cal teacher is so awesome. Anyways. The answer is 100
