An integer A which is not prime can be split into factors, that is, into other integers which divide exactly into A. In fact, the definition of a prime number is an integer that has no factors other than 1 and itself.
The factors of 20, for example, are 2, 4, 5, 10. (Factors 1 and 20 are not usually included.)
