I am working a puzzle. My clue is" DD x C". I assume this is roman numeral math. I am looking for a 3 digit answer and don't know how to work the problem.

Well, it's 132. Because in the alphabet order D is in the 4th, therefore DD is 44, while C is the 3rd. Then you can just solve to find the product of 44 *3, you'll get the answer.
by
its not Roman numerals - its alphabet
by

Its 132!! I promise!smiley

by
I dont know when you posted this but the puzzle I had like this was not Roman Numerals. It was 44 * 3
by

Glad i found this question answered - i'm doing the same puzzle - thanks for the answer - 132, I got the blue key now!

If you are playing the escape game, which I think you are. Think of each letter of the alphabet represents a number..d is the 4th letter thus dd = 44. And of course c is the 3rd. 44x3=. 132!!!!worked for me. :)
by
In alphabet order, C is the third letter and D is the fourth letter. Therefore 44 times 3 (DD*C) = 132.
by
You are playing escape game! The answer is 142 and its not Roman numerals it is numerical order I.e. a=1 b=2 c=3 d=4 and so on.
by
In Roman numerals it would be 100,000 I believe. However, if you are playing that escape game it is 44 x 3 which equals 132.
by
The question is not Roman numerals. It is alphabetical. DD = 44 C = 3 So you have 44 x 3 = 132
by
If you're trying to solve the Escape Challenge, you do it wrong. These are not roman numeral, just the letter's place in alphabet. DD = 44, C = 3 so the answer is 132
by
Don't assume these are Roman numerals.
by
That escape game led me here. Can't believe I didn't get it was the digits place. Oh we'll. Amazingly fun game.
by
Im also looking for the answer of it cuz Im also playing what you are playing :-) it is "Escape Challenge"
by
NOT roman numeral - substitute number for letter d=4 so dd=44 c=3 44x3=
by
I presumed it must be 000. However if this is the escape puzzle, apparently it is alphabet code not Roman numerals at all.
by
My mum had the same or a similar puzzle and it opened with ''132''. Hope this helps!
by
You are doing an Escape game. It is not Roman numerals. A=1, b=2, c=3 d=4.
by
It's not Roman numerals. It 44x3. The 4th letter and 3rd letter.
by
132.
by
It is alphabetic D is 4, C is 3, so the answere is 44x3=132
by
D is the 4th letter of th alphabet, C is the third. DD is 44, times 3 is 132. Could you escape? ;)
by
You are playing a game of locked doors on your iPhone
by
It's not Roman numerals for that puzzle it's just letters of the alphabet D=4 C=3 so it's 44 x 3= 132
by
Well, it's 2 years late, but I'm working the same puzzle in a room escape game, and the answer turned out to have nothing to do with Roman numerals! The answer required the substituting of the numerical value of the letter, where a=1, b=2, etc, so it was 44x3!
by
I have the same question what is DD❌C
by

If this were Roman numerals, DD would be M.

I think:

DD x C=ACB

44 x 3 =132,   substituting alphabetic position for the letters, then back-substituting to present the answer in the format of the question.

The problem and solution use only the first 4 letters of the alphabet.
