5x - 2y = 10
The x-intercept can be found when y=0 (try drawing a graph with a line drawn across it and you'll see why)
So we can put the point y = 0 into the equation 5x - 2y = 10 .
5x - 2×0 = 10
5x = 10
x = 10/5
x = 2
So the x-intercept is at x = 2 , y = 0
i.e. at (2,0)
