Dividing a quantity between 2 people in the ratio 1:1. You get the same amount as me.
Dividing a quantity between 2 people in the ratio 0:1. You get none, I get all of it.
Dividing a quantity between 2 people in the ratio 1:0. You get all of it, I get none.
Actually the last two (1:0 and 0:1) are really the same thing because the problem doesn't define ahead of time which person/quantity is the first one and which is the second one.
